Casting for Beginners

In this one day workshop you will learn the basics of casting using the sand casting technique.

Throughout the session you will learn what can and can't be cast using this method, the tools and equipment used in the casting technique, how to prepare the project for a successful casting, how to finish castings and all of the health and safety aspects that MUST be considered.

Before the workshop you will receive a pre workshop email that will explain items that you may be able to cast and want to bring with you from home. We will also have a variety of objects in the workshop for you to use.

We only have 6 spaces available on this workshop to ensure everyone has time to prepare, cast and finish at least two items throughout the day.

Materials are NOT included in the workshop fee and will be charged as used on the day. You can bring along scrap silver that can be used but we will need to look at this to see if its suitable.

Refund/Cancellations

If you have to cancel a workshop/course then a full refund will be given with at least 4 weeks notice. You can transfer onto any other workshop/course in the current programme with at least 4 weeks notice. Within the four weeks before the workshop/course starts you will not be able to transfer or receive a refund. You can at anytime transfer your place to a friend. 
We reserve the right to cancel any workshop at short notice whereupon a full refund will be given.
