Saturday 18th January 10-3pm – Introduction to Beads & Wire - Learn the basics of creating jewellery using beads and

wire techniques. Within the session you will learn how to use memory wire to create a multi layered bracelet, you will

then learn how to use headpins, eye pins, earwires and wire combined with beads to create a bigger project of your

choice. This may be a charm bracelet, cluster pendant, chain link necklace or a variety of other designs you can look at

on the day or start exploring through our online sites. You will be taught how to finish everything to a professional

unique jewellery. Learn how to handle, texture, form, cut, dry, file, finish and fire the lump form of PMC to a professional

Sunday 15th March 10-3pm – Introduction to Soutache - Learn how to use Soutache braid, beads and cabochons to

create a unique personally designed pendant. Learn which materials are used for the backing, fixing and finishing

Thursday 19th March - Saturday 21st March 9-5pm Precious Metal Clay - Certification (Completed in two days if

two or less participants)

Module 1 - Naturals

This module looks at using the natural, clay like Properties of Precious Metal Clay and combining them with natural,

organic materials such as leaves, twigs & pods.

• Natural materials - Use a leaf or pod to create a stunning pendant.

• Textured pendant - Includes creating your own moulds and simple gemstone setting.

• Glass pendant - Learn to set a glass cabochon in PMC and fire allowing for the shrinkage.

• Band ring – Learn how to make a strong, durable ring with PMC Flex.

• Toggle clasp - Create a two part toggle clasp

• Domed bead - Make a hollow bead using dry construction techniques. Can also be worn as a pendant.

Sunday 22nd March 10-3pm – More Beads & Wire - A great follow on from our Intro to Beads & Wire. Learn how to

work with heavier wires and formers to create links, jump rings and clasps. Use lighter wires and the spiralling gizmo to

create beads and intricate wire details. Learn some attractive texturing techniques using hammers and steel plates.

Learn how to combine all these techniques with beads using simple wire techniques to create earrings, bracelets or

necklaces - £50.00 + materials

taster workshop is great for anybody wanting a glimpse into some basic silversmithing techniques. You will learn how to

use sheet silver, a rolling mill to texture, a disc cutter, a doming block, soldering to attach the earposts, files, emery paper

and polishing cloths to finish your pair stud earrings - £35.00 inc materials

will be exhibiting for the Third year at St Andrews Church in Old Headington. She will be displaying her handmade

Jewellery using precious metals, semi precious stones and beads inspired by nature and sentimental objects. All budgets

This module is about achieving a professional finish.

Learn the tricks of the trade to achieve this all of the time on all work.

• Japanese enamels - An introduction to using fine Japanese hot enamels.

• High shine mirror finish - Learn to polish your PMC so you can see your own reflection in your work.

• Ring with bezel setting - Create a silver bezel in PMC to create a setting for items that cannot be fired.

• Ceramics - Combine PMC Flex with bisque to create a beautiful solid decorated bead.

• Ceramics - Combine ready fired ceramics with PMC.

• Colour effects - Learn to create different finishes using liver of sulphur and platinol.

Monday 27th - Wednesday 29th July – Introduction to Precious Metal Clay for Oxford Summer School - This course is

suitable for both beginners and Improvers. Beginners will start by making a silver leaf pendant, simple textured earrings

and a pendant then can move onto further projects of their choice. Improvers can come along to the course with exact

projects in mind or be inspired by the many samples on show. Great value for money and such a lovely summer school

to be part of. Oxford Summer School.
